Report: Füllkrug turns down contract offer from Werder
Niclas Füllkrug is said to have turned down an initial contract extension offer from Werder Bremen.
Kicker reports that Niclas Füllkrug has turned down a contract extension offer from Werder Bremen.
According to Sport Bild, Werder offered Füllkrug a contract until 2026, which would have seen the striker earn €3 million per year.
So far, the striker has been earning €2.5 million a year, including bonuses. However, as of July 1, the sum has reportedly been contractually reduced by 15 percent.
Füllkrug, whose current contract expires in 2025, has been linked with a move away from the club, with Italian sides believed to be among his suitors.
He has also recently been touted as a possible replacement for the long-term injured Patrik Schick at Bayer Leverkusen.
