FC Augsburg are, according to Germany's preeminent footballing publication, about to unveil Swiss youth international Gregory Kwesi Wüthrich as a new signing. German journalist Mario Krischel reports that Augsburg have secured the services of the 28-year-old for a transfer fee of €1.5 million from Sturm Graz of the Austrian Bundesliga.

After selling attacker Mërgim Berisha to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for a reported €14 million yesterday, further FCA signings cannot be ruled out. It nevertheless looks as if the club feels that they have no need to look to the 2. Bundesliga for further defensive reinforcements. Krischel does note that the club does wish to obtain a new right back to take the pressure of regular midfielder Arne Engels.

Reports that the FCA were negotiating with Hertha defenders Marc Oliver Kempf and Jonjoe Kenny emerged yesterday. Krischel claims that neither one of these players are on the agenda of Stefan Reuter and his administrative team. A new right-back should still arrive before the transfer window closes on Friday.
