Bayern's goalkeeping coach confirms Neuer is likely to miss Dortmund game
At the moment, it doesn't look like Manuel Neuer will be fit for next Saturday's clash with Borussia Dortmund, according to Bayern's goalkeeping coach, Michael Rechner.
Bayern Munich goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner has revealed that Manuel Neuer is unlikely to play against Borussia Dortmund next Saturday after suffering a muscle injury during the international break.
"The timing is unfortunate. But it's just a minor injury. He's being treated and he's on the right track. The injury is nothing dramatic. He will be back soon," Rechner told Sky Germany.
"We'll see next week how he's doing and when he can be back on the pitch. There's no pressure on him at all. Of course it could be very, very tight for the game against Dortmund. I'm assuming at the moment that he probably won't play against Dortmund."
Should Neuer miss the game, Sven Ulreich will fill in for him as he's previously done on a number of occasions this season.
