Bayern München have agreed a contract extension with Serge Gnabry who has put pen to paper on a new deal until 2023, the club have announced.

Gnabry, who joined Bayern from Werder Bremen on a three-year deal in 2017, is happy to have signed a new contract and looks forward to developing further at Säbener Strasse.

"I feel very well here. I'm having a lot of fun with the team. Of course, I hope for many titles and great moments and look forward to a good future with Bayern. Personally, I think that I'm doing very well, but I know that I still have potential and need to develop further," Gnabry said, as quoted by the club.

Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said:

"We're happy that we've tied Serge down to a long-term deal with FC Bayern. He has taken a big step forward in his first season with us. "Serge is one of our young wild players and an important part of FC Bayern's future. We're convinced that we'll have a lot of fun with him."

Gnabry, who spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Hoffenheim, has made 29 appearances for Bayern with eight goals and five assists to his name.
