Werder Bremen are set to face Bayern München twice in the course of just five days. First, they take on the German champions in the Bundesliga on Saturday, and the two clubs then meet again in the DFB-Pokal semi-final next Wednesday.

Werder veteran Claudio Pizarro is excited about facing his old team and believes he and his teammates can beat the Bavarians.

"I'm really looking forward to playing against them. Two games in a row will not be easy. But we're playing good football right now, and the group is doing good. We can do it," Pizarro told SID and added:

"We're in a good phase. The team have a lot of confidence, and we therefore have the chance of winning the games."

Pizarro, 40, played for Bayern from 2001 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2015.
