Grosskreutz would be happy to see Schalke go down

Kevin Grosskreutz says he would be pleased to see Schalke 04 get relegated.
There will be much more than local bragging rights at stake when Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 lock horns in the Revierderby on Saturday.

Dortmund are one point behind league leaders Bayern München at the top of the table while Schalke 04 are in 15th place and fighting to avoid relegation.

When asked if he hopes to see Schalke get relegated, former Borussia Dortmund player Grosskreutz told Sky Germany:

"Of course. Yes, that would please me. You can always make do without them for one year. They would be happy about that in Dortmund."

"The explosiveness is always there. I think it's always an important game and that it's the biggest game of the season for both Dortmund and Schalke.

"The table situation is of course serious, and everything is at stake for both clubs. It's going to be an intense game, and I hope that Borussia Dortmund will win, of course," Grosskreutz said.

Grosskreutz, who reprsented Dortmund between 2009 and 2015, now plays for 3. Liga side KFC Uerdingen.
