Nenad Bjelica has no future as head coach of Union Berlin, according to German football magazine Kicker.

According to their report, the Bundesliga club have decided to part ways with Bjelica at the end of the season.

As per Kicker, Union even considered sacking Bjelica before Sunday's relegation clash with Bochum, but have decided to hold on to him for now.

However, should they get a bad result there, a dismissal before the end of the season is not completely out of the question.

The 52-year-old is not considered capable of developing the team in the long term. In addition, the team are said to be critical of his approach to match preparation, including the lack of video analysis.

Bjelica replaced Urs Fischer in November. The German capital club sit 14th, just two points above Mainz in the relegation playoff spot.
