According to the report, Leverkusen will take advantage of a release clause of €28 million to sign the central midfielder who's under contract with Hoffenheim until 2022.
Demirbay reportedly informed Hoffenheim boss Alexander Rosen of his decision following Saturday's 2-2 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The 25-year-old, who has been linked with clubs from the English Premier League in the past, has made 30 appearances for Hoffenheim this season with four goals and 10 assists to his name.
