German national coach Joachim Löw believes Julian Draxler can be a key player at the World Cup and says the Paris Saint-Germain player will start against Mexico today.
"Julian has shown great form for us in the last few months. He can make a difference at the World Cup. He can give a lot to the team, and that's what I'm counting on," Löw told ARD.
Draxler, 24, has been a part of the national team since 2012, and Löw feels the winger has developed a lot since then.
"He has made a big step forward when it comes to his personality, straightforwardness and professionalism. I am a fan of his abilities," Löw said.
Draxler is expected to start on the left wing against Mexico while Marco Reus will most likely start on the bench.
