Eintracht Frankfurt is working hard to sign Werder Bremen's first-choice goalkeeper Michael Zetterer.

As reported by 'DeichStube', talks have progressed significantly in recent hours, but an agreement is still pending.

With the likelihood of Frankfurt's current goalkeeper Kevin Trapp nearing a move to Paris FC, the Hessen club want to act fast.

A transfer fee in the region of €3.5 to €4.5million is being discussed for the 30-year-old German shot-stopper.

According to the online portal, Frankfurt has already scheduled the mandatory medical for a goalkeeper this weekend.

Whether this will be Zetterer is not yet clear, but it seems likely. The 30-year-old is still contracted to Bremen until 2027.
