Official: Augsburg sign Danish U21 international

Augsburg have signed Mads Pedersen from Danish side FC Nordsjælland.

FC Augsburg have completed the signing of Danish under-21 international Mads Pedersen.

Pedersen - a 22-year-old left-back - joins Augsburg from Danish outfit FC Nordsjælland and has signed a contract until 2024.

"The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world. I'm delighted to have the chance to prove myself in the Bundesliga in Augsburg. FCA are a club where I can develop very well as a youngster player," he told Augsburg's website after completing his move.

FC Augsburg head of sport Stefan Reuter said:

"Mads Pedersen has played for all of Denmark's youth national teams. He has great potential, and despite his young age, he has already gauned a lot of experience at a professional level. We are therefore convinced that he will enrich our squad."

Pedersen made 96 appearances for FC Nordsjælland with three goals and 11 assists to his name.
