Mainz star Jean-Philippe Gbamin is nearing a move to Everton.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin is understood to be on the verge of leaving Mainz 05 to join Everton.
According to Sky Germany, only a few final details remains to be clarified before the transfer can be completed, with Gbamin expected to go through a medical on Thursday.
Everton will pay around €30 million including bonuses to sign the 23-year-old who is set to put pen to paper on a five-year contract.
At Goodison Park, Gbamin will replace Idrissa Gueye who recently joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Gbamin, who can play as a defensive midfielder and in central defence, has made 95 appearances for Mainz with three goals and four assists to his name.
