Going into the final year of his contract with Borussia Dortmund, Mario Götze says he remains 'relatively relaxed'.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc recently said that he plans to sit down with Götze to discuss a new deal in the near future.

According Kicker, Götze currently earns a two-digit million amount every year, but he would have to accept a salary cut to stay at Dortmund. The BVB bosses should be ready to offer him €7-8 million a year.

Speaking to DAZN, the 27-year-old makes it clear that he's not desperate to put pen to paper on a new contract, although he feels well at Dortmund.

"Everyone has their value, the club must decide in the end. But of course: such financial issues don't really belong in the media," Götze said and added that it wouldn't be a problem for him to begin the new Bundesliga season without having signed a new deal first.

Götze recently admitted that he's considering a move abroad, and he's still considering joining a club outside of Germany in the future.

"Of course it's something I think about, because it's now my tenth Bundesliga season. Anything can happen in football, but it's not like I've generally thought about where I really want to go. As it stands, I still have a year left of my contract in Dortmund and feel comfortable in the Bundesliga. Otherwise, I wouldn't have played here for so long," Götze said.

Götze played 34 games for Dortmund last season, scoring seven goals and making seven assists.
