Arsenal have had a €60 million bid for Dayot Upamecano turned down by RB Leipzig, according to Bild.

Apparently, the offer from the English Premier League club couldn't persuade RB Leipzig to sell the promising centre-back who is set to play an important role at Red Bull Arena in the upcoming season under new coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Bild claims that Upamecano, whose deal runs until 2021, has a €100 million release clause in his contract that will drop to €80 million in the summer of 2020.

Upamecano, 20, has made 75 appearances for RB Leipzig, scoring three goals.
