FC Augsburg rejected a bid for Marco Richter from Borussia Mönchengladbach towards the end of August, according to Sport Bild.

Apparently, Gladbach's offer of €10 million was deemed too low by Augsburg head of sport Stefan Reuter.

Richter's contract with Augsburg runs until 2023 and doesn't include a release clause, as per the report.

The 23-year-old attracted attention at the European Under-21 Championship in the summer as he netted three times and set up two goals in four appearances for the German team.
