Werder Bremen will have to manage without Maximilian Eggestein when they face Union Berlin on Saturday.

The club have announced that the midfielder will not be able to travel to Berlin due to back problems.

"That's bitter for us, of course. Nevertheless, we will field a very good team in Berlin that can win the game," said Werder coach Florian Kohfeldt.

Werder already have a long injury list which includes Niklas Moisander, Ludwig Augustinsson, Ömer Toprak, Milos Veljkovic, Kevin Möhwald and Milot Rashica among others.
