Leon Goretzka making good progress in recovery from injury
Leon Goretzka is getting closer to his return from injury.
Leon Goretzka is nearing a return from the hamstring injury that has kept him out since August.
Speaking in a video posted on Bayern München's Twitter profil, the 24-year-old says he is hopeful that he will be back in team training during this week.
"I'm on the right track. Everything is going according to plan - even a little faster than planned. I feel good," Goretzka said and added:
"The first steps back on the pitch are obviously always a bit difficult, but I worked well in rehab.
"I think I will be able to train with the team again this week. How quickly I will be available to take part in a game again depends on the coach and how I feel. But I'm confident that it will be in the near future," the midfielder said.
Goretzka has made two appearances for Bayern this season.
