Bayern book last-16 spot with a win in Hansi Flick's first game in charge

Robert Lewandowski and Ivan Perisic scored as Bayern München beat Olympiacos 2-0 and booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Bayern München returned to winning ways in interim coach Hansi Flick's first game in charge as goals from Robert Lewandowski and Ivan Perisic earned the German champions a 2-0 win over Olympiacos in the Champions League.

The result means that Bayern are through to the last 16, having won all of their four games in Group B.

Bayern controlled the game from the start, but struggled to create clear-cut chances until Benjamin Pavard came close to scoring the opener when he hit the woodwork with a header towards the end of the first half.

The home side started well after the break and forced Olympiacos keeper José Sa to make a number of saves before Robert Lewandowski finally broke the deadlock after 69 minutes, sending the ball into the back of the net at the front post after being nicely set up by Kingsley Coman.

Towards the end of the match, Ivan Perisic came on and cemented the win as he made it 2-0 with a tap-in.
