Borussia Dortmund's Roman Bürki admits he sees Bayern München star Robert Lewandowski as the world's best striker.

Asked if he would have won the Bundesliga with Dortmund last season had they had Lewandowski in their team, Bürki told Blick:

"Paco Alcacer scored a lot of goals for us. But Lewandowski is the best number 9 in the world for me."

The 29-year-old is still disappointed that Dortmund didn't manage to win the league title despite being seven points clear of Bayern München at one stage of the season.

"It still annoys me that we lost points against opponents like Augsburg, Nürnberg, Düsseldorf and Hannover. With all due respect, you have to win such games if you want to become champions," Bürki said.

Dortmund ended up in second place, two points behind Bayern München.
