Klinsmann has high expectations for Arne Maier and Daishawn Redan
Hertha BSC coach Jürgen Klinsmann says Arne Maier should play a bigger role in the second half of the season and reveals he has been impressed by Daishawn Redan.
Hertha BSC coach Jürgen Klinsmann has spoken highly of Arne Maier and Daishawn Redan ahead of the second half of the season.
Maier has been handed just one minute of playing time under Klinsmann so far after returning from a long-term knee injury, but should play a much bigger role in the remainder of the season.
"I'm sure that Arne will get to play. He had some catching up to do, but is a solid part of our plans," Klinsmann told B.Z.
Klinsmann also lauded praise on Daishawn Redan who has been limited to just 20 minutes on the pitch following his summer move from Chelsea.
"Daishawn has just trained for the first since I came here after making his return from a muscle injury, and he really looked good. I'm really excited about him now," Klinsmann said about the striker.
Hertha paid €2,7 million to bring the 18-year-old to Germany from England.
