Borussia Mönchengladbach don't have any plans of selling Yann Sommer, the club's sporting director Max Eberl has underlined.

Sommer has been linked with Arsenal and FC Barcelona by Spanish media outlet Marca, but Eberl claims none of the two clubs have shown an interest in the 29-year-old.

"I'm in contact with both Yann and his advisor. There is nothing there. I don't know where the speculation comes from. We're not interested in doing anything," Eberl told Kicker and added:

"Should Yann sit on the bench at one of the aforementioned clubs behind ter Stegen (at Barcelona) or Leno (at Arsenal)? I don't think it's in Yann Sommer's interest to be second or third man somewhere."

Sommer is praised in today's Kicker as he tops the magazine's list of the best Bundesliga goalkeepers of 2018 so far.

He joined Gladbach from FC Basel in 2014 and has since appeared 172 times for the club.
