Bayern München aren't willing to let Jerome Boateng leave the club this month, according to a report from Sport Bild.

The report claims that the centre-back was informed before Christmas that the club want to hold on to him until the summer at least.

Boateng could start in Sunday's Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC in the absence of Lucas Hernandez, Javi Martinez and Niklas Süle who are all sidelined with injuries.

The 31-year-old, who is under contract until 2021, has been linked with AC Milan and Arsenal this month.
