Here are our Fantasy Bundesliga tips for Matchday 22.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious premium options such as Timo Werner and Robert Lewandowski. Instead, we will take a look at the players who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 22.
Goalkeepers:
Robin Zentner (Mainz, 1M) is a good, cheap option in goal.
Florian Kastenmeier (Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1.2M) will keep his place in goal for Fortuna and is an alternative in the same price range, with Fortuna Düsseldorf coach Uwe Rösler revealing on Thursday that the club's first-choice goalkeeper, Zack Steffen, will be out for at least a few more weeks.
If you have a little more to spend, you could also look at Leopold Zingerle (Paderborn, 4.6M).
Defenders:
Timothy Chandler (Frankfurt, 5.8M) was by far the highest-scoring defender of Matchday 21 with his two goals against Augsburg, and with the form the 29-year-old is currently in, it's hard to look past him.
Daley Sinkgraven (Leverkusen, 7.9M) put in an impressive performance against Dortmund last week and is a viable option with a price tag of just 7.9 million.
Bastian Oczipka (Schalke 04, 10.7M) remains on our radar after picking up 18 points last week.
Pavel Kaderabek (Hoffenheim, 11.2M) is surely also worth considering after racking up 28 points over the last two games.
Philipp Max (Augsburg, 12.7M) has been struggling with illness this week, but is a great pick as well, provided he plays.
Midfielders:
With a price tag of just 1 million, Giovanni Reyna (Dortmund, 1M) is an attractive option if he starts against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.
Christoph Baumgartner (Hoffenheim, 7.1M) has been one of Hoffenheim's stand-out performers in 2020 so far and might be worth taking a punt on.
Kai Pröger (Paderborn, 8M) was the second-highest scoring midfielder last week, picking up 19 points, and could have another good game against a crisis-hit Hertha side this time around.
Despite being a Fantasy midfielder, Renato Steffen (Wolfsburg, 8.2M) actually plays as a striker. The 28-year-old, who scored last week, is a slight doubt, but should play against Hoffenheim is he's passed fit.
Ruben Vargas (Augsburg, 8.4M) picked up an impressive 18 points on Matchday 20 and could be a good differential this week, with Augsburg facing Freiburg at home.
Amine Harit (Schalke 04, 9.6M) and Michael Gregoritsch (Schalke 04, 10.3M) were disappointing last week, but are still options worth considering.
Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig, 12.7M) has been among Leipzig's key Fantasy assets this season and has the potential to score big against Werder Bremen.
Finally, Leon Goretzka (Bayern München (12.9M) gives you a fairly cheap way into the Bayern midfield and has shown that he's capable of chipping in with both goals and assists on a regular basis.
Strikers:
Apart from premium options such as Robert Lewandowski and Timo Werner, there aren't many strikers to recommend this week.
Augsburg aren't at their best at the moment, but Florian Niederlechner (Augsburg, 11.3M) has certainly shown that he can find the net this season.
Alternatively, you could look at Robin Quaison (Mainz, 11.8M) who will be looking to continue his great form after bagging a hat-trick against Hertha last week.
Hertha will be determined to show a reaction to Jürgen Klinsmann's surprising resignation as coach when they face Paderborn away from home this week. Krzystof Piatek (Hertha BSC, 12.1M) didn't live up to the expectations last week, but has the potential to score big over the next weeks, with Hertha having a nice run of fixtures coming up.
Finally, Marcus Thuram (Gladbach, 13.4M) looks like a solid pick for Gladbach's away clash with Fortuna Düsseldorf.
