    Julian Nagelsmann, RB Leipzig coach:
"It's a great stadium. The first ten minutes were very noisy, very loud. In the end, it was a pleasure to be part of this game and I'm glad we have the three points.

"It's always important not to let in goals. We always try to attack the opponents very early and try to win the ball high up in their half. Today, in the second half, we tried to create a bit more of a counter. It's normal that we would have to defend a bit deeper later on, at only 1-0" (UEFA).

    Timo Werner, RB Leipzig:
"Our match plan worked out. We defended well against Tottenham's long ball and crosses and played very good offensive football. We were surprised that we had the ball so much, but we managed to create plenty of chances" (Sky Germany).

"I'd missed a couple of chances before. The penalty didn't make that easier. But I wanted to take it. I stayed cool and converted the pen. I'm happy that I could get a goal for the team" (RB Leipzig, Twitter).

    Jose Mourinho, Tottenham manager:
"The boys did everything they could do. They are an amazing group with amazing guys that try everything. We tried everything we could. I thank the fans for all the support for the boys. The result is open. We would not be the first team to lose at home 1-0 and win the tie away, so why shouldn't we do it?" (UEFA).

    Hugo Lloris, Tottenham:
"We were a bit more proactive with the ball. We managed the possession in the last 20 minutes, which is an aspect where we failed in the first half. Leipzig are a very, very good team with a lot of energy. We had some situations that we could have managed better.

"It's not the time to give excuses. We have to keep fighting until the end. We don't have time to think too much. We are not happy about the result but there is not much we can do about it. Let's create another story, like we did last season" (UEFA.com).
