Yussuf Poulsen says he doesn't want to leave RB Leipzig regardless of what happens in the last eight games of the Bundesliga season.

In an interview with Kicker, Poulsen stresses that reports claiming he has asked for permission to leave in the summer are "zero percent true".

"I'm not looking for a transfer no matter how things go in the next eight games," the Danish international said in an interview with Kicker.

"I didn't think about a transfer at any point, and I still don't," he added.

After slipping down the pecking order at Red Bull Arena prior to the suspension of football, Poulsen says he worked intensively on his fitness and shooting technique during the break caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

"I have enough ambition to not just let things slide. I knew I had to to something to change the situation. Nobody needed to tell me that," he said.

Poulsen was in the line-up and scored as RB Leipzig returned to Bundesliga action with a 1-1 draw against Freiburg last week.
