Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement in principle with Olympique Marseille over the transfer of Leonardo Balerdi, L'Equipe reports.

According to the report, only minor details remain to be sorted out before the 21-year-old can join the French Ligue 1 club on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy of around €15 million.

A week ago, Marseille coach André Villas-Boas confirmed his interest in the Argentine centre-back.

Balerdi was already linked with a move to Marseille before he joined Dortmund from Boca Juniors for €15.5 million in January 2019.

Since then, he has made just eight appearances for 'Die Schwarzgelben'.
