Eintacht Frankfurt supervisory board chairman Wolfgang Steubing acknowledges that it would be difficult to turn André Silva's loan move into a permanent one.

Silva joined Frankfurt on a two-year loan deal from AC Milan last summer while Ante Rebic headed the other way on the same terms, and the two clubs might be able to find an agreement that will see the two players switch clubs permanently.

"Everything that costs money is pushing us to the limits at the moment," Steubing told Bild and continued:

"Buying Silva would not be easy. In any case, the swap with Ante Rebic must be taken into account."

Silva has made 36 appearances for Frankfurt, scoring 16 goals.
