Dortmund not just a stepping stone for Giovanni Reyna

U.S. youngster Giovanni Reyna makes it clear that he's not just 'passing through' at Dortmund.
Giovanni Reyna insists he doesn't see Borussia Dortmund as a stepping stone to another club.

The 17-year-old is starting to make a name for himself at Signal Iduna Park, having made 18 appearances for BVB so far, and he isn't planning to leave anytime soon.

"Right now, I am just very happy here and that is what counts. I am not passing through here at Dortmund," Reyna told Bild (via ESPN).

"It's a club competing for titles. [On their own] those unbelievable fans turn BVB into something special," he added.

The U.S. youngster is currently on a youth contract until 2021, and Dortmund are eager to tie him down to long-term deal when he turns 18 in November.

"He is still a minor, but we are in very positive talks to, once he turns in 18, keep him at the club for as long as possible," Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said in June.
