Official: RB Leipzig snap up Lazar Samardzic from Hertha

Lazar Samardzic has completed his move to RB Leipzig.

RB Leipzig have confirmed the capture of 18-year-old attacking midfielder Lazar Samardzic from Hertha BSC.

The German under-20 international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with 'Die Roten Bullen'.

"Lazard Samardzic is one of the most talented players in Germany. Although he attracted interest from abroad, we succeeded in convincing him to join RB Leipzig. We trust Lazar to take the next step with us," said RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche.

Samardzic, who has made three Bundesliga appearances for Hertha, said:

"RB Leipzig is a great address for young, hungry players. They have been playing very attractive, offensive footballer for years and therfore fits me perfectly. I'm looking forward to joining the team an will give everything to settle in quickly. I hope we will have a lot to celebrate together in the future."
