Having struggled for regular game time at VfL Wolfsburg this season, Cedric Zesiger is now heading out on loan.

As confirmed on Tuesday, the 26-year-old has joined Augsburg on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option to buy included in the deal.

“I’m pleased to have completed my move to Augsburg,” said Zesiger after completing the move.

“I want to help the team to be successful in the second half of the season. FCA are an established Bundesliga club and I’m certain this is the right place for me to be.”

Zesiger has played a total of eight games for Wolfsburg this season.
