Jamal Musiala missed Bayern Munich's first game of 2025, a 1-0 win over Gladbach, last Saturday through illness.

The 21-year-old completed part of the team's training on Monday and is now targeting a return to action.

However, his availability for Wednesday's Bundesliga clash with Hoffenheim is still uncertain on the day before the game.

“It's not yet completely certain that he'll be involved. We'll look at it in training. If he's back in the squad, that would be good," Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said a his pre-match press conference.

Giving a more general update on his squad, Kompany said:

“We've not had a lot of training, so yesterday and the final session today are very important. Then we'll know exactly. We didn't have too many problems after the [Gladbach] match. When you win, that gives you extra energy. If Jamal's involved, we've got one more.”
