Julian Brandt bought his family a new house: 'A matter of the heart for me'

In an interview with Bild, Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt reveals he has bought a larger house for his family.
Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt has always had a very close relationship with his parents and two brothers.

So when the 22-year-old had made enough money as a professional footballer, he decided to buy his family a new house so they could leave their old terraced house in Bremen and move into a larger place just five minutes away.

"That was a matter of the heart for me. My parents or brothers will never have to pay rent. I could never allow that," Brandt said in an interview with Bild.

Brandt still feels very close to his parents and siblings. His father, Jürgen, is also important to the Leverkusen star in a work-related context as he is working as his agent.

"Our family relationship is very intimate - very special. My mother, father, us three boys. That was a big reason why I wanted my father to be my advisor," Brandt said and added:

"We have never had a fight with each other - and I have never had any problems with my respective clubs."

Brandt played for Wolfsburg as a youth player until he joined Leverkusen in January 2014. Since then, he has appeared 173 times for 'Die Werkself' with 32 goals and 34 assists to his name.
