Hasan Salihamidzic on Bayern's stalled contract talks with Alaba: 'David knows what our offer is'

Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic insists the Bavarians are still 'trying everything' to keep David Alaba. It doesn't look like the 28-year-old will receive an improved offer from the club, though.
With his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2021, David Alaba has been stalling on a contract extension with Bayern München.

The 28-year-old is free to sign with another club if he doesn't put pen to paper on a contract extension in the next two and a half months' time, but sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic remains hopeful that he will pen a new deal.

"We hope that David will sign with us in the end. We are really trying everything," he told Sport Bild.

Bayern don't seem willing to better their contract offer, though. Asked if the club could come back with an improved proposal, Salihamidzic responded:

"David knows what our offer is."

Alaba has been linked with a host of clubs, including Juventus, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
