It's no secret that Borussia Dortmund want to tie Giovanni Reyna down to a new deal when he turns 18 in November.

It has previously been reported that Dortmund have an option to extend Reyna's current deal, which expires next year, until 2023.

However, according to Bild, the Bundesliga club are ready to offer him an even longer contract.

"We are trying to find a long-term solution with 'Gio'," Dortmund sporting director told the German news outlet.

Bild claims that the U.S. youngster's new contract could net him €2.5 million per season – more than twice as much as he currently earns.

The 17-year-old has made 23 appearances for Dortmund so far, racking up three goals and six assists.
