Fantasy: Deadline Day Signings Fantasy Preview
After an active transfer day deadline, we will take a look at the Fantasy impact these last-minute signings will have on their new clubs.
Bouna Sarr, Bayern München - DEF, 9M - The 28 year-old right back from Marseille was signed as extra cover for Benjamin Pavard in mind. With only five goals and nine assists since the 15/16 season, one should not expect much of an attacking return. However, Sarr could be thrust into an important role with Hansi Flick not 100% sold on starting the young Chris Richards. At only 9M for a Bayern player, if known to be starting, Sarr has the potential to be a must-have.
Justin Kluivert, RB Leipzig - FOR, 11M - The 21 year-old Dutch winger has joined ‘Die Roten Bullen’ on a one-year loan deal in hopes of bolstering his form after a somewhat lackluster first two seasons in Rome. Kluivert will be an intriguing option once he familiarizes himself with the Leipzig squad. On the other hand, with a steep price of 11M, there are other RedBull players more worth the money.
Matteo Guendouzi, Hertha BSC - MID, 11M - The on-loan Arsenal starlet has a chance to make an immediate impact in the Berlin midfield. Teamed up with workhorses Lucas Tousart and Vladimir Darida, Guendouzi can help build the bridge between the defense and attack, ultimately freeing up more space for the aforementioned duo. Once back from quarantine after testing positive for Covid, expect Guendouzi to be a mainstay in the starting lineup.
Douglas Costa, Bayern München - FOR, 12M - The mercurial Brazilian is back and we should not be surprised to see the same old Costa that we are accustomed to. Bayern now have a plethora of wingers that can be rotated so selecting the correct one will be key, but also sure to be rewarding.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Bayern München - FOR, 10M - Another steal for Bayern, Choupo-Moting will finally provide some relief to Lewandowski up top. While mainly used as a sub with an occasional start, Choupo-Moting’s previous knowledge of the Bundesliga should mean he hits the ground running in no time.
Ryan Sessegnon, TSG Hoffenheim - DEF, 9M - The Tottenham youngster, on loan for a year, can slot in either left back or left wing. Unable to break the starting lineup in London, Sessegnon will hope to impress in his short time in Sinsheim.
Kilian Ludewig, Schalke 04 - DEF, 7M - A German U20 international, Ludewig had his loan at Barnsley in England cut short so he could join up with new Schalke manager Manuel Baum. With no previous solution for the departure of Jonjoe Kenny, Ludewig should start at right back immediately.
Naouirou Ahamada, VfB Stuttgart - MID, 3M - Signed on loan with an option to buy from Juventus U23, Ahamada is a two-way midfielder who could feature in the starting 11 sooner rather than later.
