Justin Kluivert welcomes competition at RB Leipzig

New RB Leipzig signing Justin Kluivert has underlined he's not afraid of competition.
Justin Kluivert has welcomed competition for places at RB Leipzig following his recent arrival from AS Roma on loan.

"I've come to RB, because I want to take the next step in my career," Kluivert told Sport Bild and added:

"We have a strong team, and that was one of the reasons why I chose RB. I'm not afraid of competition, and being a new player here, I don't expect to always play immediately.

"We have a long season ahead of us with an extreme amount of goals. I'm sure everyone will get to play," the Dutchman said.

Kluivert could make his RB Leipzig debut against Augsburg today. At the pre-match press conference, RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann ruled out a start for the 21-year-old, but said he's in contention for the squad.
