Aleksandar Dragovic is set to depart Bayer Leverkusen in January, according to Serbian media outlet Sportski Zurnal.

The 29-year-old central defender has agreed terms with Red Star Belgrade, as per the report.

Whether Dragovic will be joining the Serbian champions permanently or on an initial loan deal is unclear.

Dragovic has struggled to nail down a starting berth at BayArena following his €21 million move from Dynamo Kiev in 2016.

Currently behind Edmond Tapsoba, Sven Bender and Jonathan Tah in the pecking order, the centre-back has been limited to three Bundesliga appearances this season.
