Favre confirms Thomas Meunier will miss out against Lazio, Guerreiro and Can are doubts
Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre has confirmed that Thomas Meunier will not be available for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Lazio. Raphael Guerreiro and Emre Can are doubtful.
Thomas Meunier will miss Borussia Dortmund's Champions League tie with Lazio on Wednesday due to an injury, head coach Lucien Favre revealed at the pre-match press conference.
"Meunier will definitely not play," Favre said without placing any specific time frame on the recovery of the right-back, who was replaced by Thorgan Hazard 61 minutes into Dortmund's 1-2 loss against FC Köln on Saturday.
Raphael Guerreiro, who missed out on the Köln game, and Emre Can are doubts for Wednesday's clash.
"With Raphael Guerreiro, we'll have to wait and see. He trained individually yesterday. I'm very positive about that. We will have to see with Emre [Can] as well," Favre said.
As for Can, Favre went on to elaborate:
"He received a blow to his ankle. Right now it's hard to say if he can play."
