Bayer Leverkusen came close to signing Milot Rashica from Werder Bremen before the summer transfer window closed in October, but the deal ultimately fell through on deadline day.

It has been suggested that Leverkusen might try to sign the Kosovo international in January, but there are no plans to make a new move for him at the moment, claims the club's sporting director, Simon Rolfes.

"That was a consideration in the summer, especially because of the packed fixture list in autumn. We will reassess our situation during the winter. But he's not a topic at the moment," Rolfes said on the NDR 2-Bundesligashow-Podcast.

Rashica is currently sidelined with an injury that is expected to keep him out until the end of January.
