Denis Zakaria plays down Bayern links: 'I haven't talked to anyone about a transfer'

Denis Zakaria claims he hasn't been in contact with Bayern München amid reports linking the Gladbach midfielder with a move to Allianz Arena.
Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has been linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Bayern München, Manchester City and Chelsea.

According to reports, the 24-year-old even tops Bayern's list of targets for the 2021/22, but the 24-year-old insists he hasn't been in contact with the German champions nor anyone else about a move away from Borussia-Park.

However, the Swiss international is willing to admit that he dreams of taking the next step at some point in the future.

"I haven't talked to anyone about a transfer. I'm 100 percent focused on Gladbach and still have a year and a half left on my contract," Zakaria said in an interview with Sport1 and continued:

"I don't have a classic career plan. But I've dreamed of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world since I was a young player. To achieve that at some point, I have to work hard here in Gladbach. For now, I'm very happy at Borussia."

Zakaria's contract with Gladbach expires in 2022.
