Fantasy Bundesliga tips: 10 players to consider for Matchday 18

Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 18.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Robert Lewandowski or Erling Haaland.

Instead, we will highlight players with an ownership percentage below 15%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 18.

Erik Durm, Frankfurt (Defender, 3.5m)
Although Durm watched Frankfurt's game in mid-week from the bench, there's no need to write him off. The German World Cup winner has been in excellent form in 2021 and looks certain to come back into the starting line-up after being given a well deserved rest. With a price of just 3.5m, it's hard to look past Durm, especially considering that Franfurt have some facorable fixtures on the horizon.

Felix Agu, Werder Bremen (Defender, 4.3m)
Werder have looked quite solid recently and were slightly unlucky to lose 1-0 to Gladbach in mid-week. Since Florian Kohfeldt's troops now have an appealing run of fixtures ahead, they might be worth tapping into. 21-year-old Felix Agu has done well filling in for Ludwig Augustinsson in Werder's last two games, picking up 30 points, and should get the nod again if the Swede isn't deemed fit to start. If you're looking for a certain starter, you could bring in Theodor Gebre Selassie for 7.4 million instead.

Christopher Trimmel, Union Berlin (Defender, 10.7M)
Like Durm, Trimmel should be back in the line up after being given a rest in mid-week. An integral part of a well-playing team with a nice schedule ahead, the Union captain is a reliable Fantasy asset, having already picked up 119 points this season.

Marius Wolf, FC Köln (Midfielder, 4.4m)
Köln will be looking to build on Wednesday's important 2-1 win over relegation rivals Schalke 04 when they face Hoffenheim away from home. Wolf is a midfielder in the game, but has been playing up front recently. Priced at just 4.4 million, he could be a cheap differential.

Romano Schmid, Werder Bremen (Midfielder, 5m)
After a slow start to life at Werder Bremen, Austrian under-21 international Romano Schmid is starting to find his feet in Germany, having recently been praised for his development by Werder coach Florian Kohfeldt. Another Fantasy midfielder playing up front, Schmid most recently came close to scoring against Gladbach on Tuesday, but was denied by an excellent save from Yann Sommer. With a little more luck, he could get on the scoresheet against a Hertha side, who let in three goals against Hoffenheim in their latest game.

Amin Younes, Frankfurt (Midfielder, 6.9m)
If you don't already own Younes, it's probably time to get him in your team. The Napoli loanee has emerged as a key player for Frankfurt and costs just 6.9 million.

Christoph Baumgartner, Hoffenheim (Midfielder, 11.5m)
Since Hoffenheim play FC Köln this time around before facing mighty Bayern München next week, Baumgartner could be a solid acquisation if you don't mind bringing him in for this matchday only. Playing as a striker like Wolf and Schmid, the 21-year-old will be looking to build on his excellent performance against Hertha in mid-week, which saw him rack up 15 points.

Christopher Nkunku, RB Leipzig (Midfielder, 14.8m)
Predicting RB Leipzig's starting eleven can be pretty tough, but Nkunku looks likely to be given another start after recently receiving praise from 'Die Roten Bullen' coach Julian Nagelsmann. Nkunku didn't score or assist against Union in mid-week, but was on the end of several big chances and still managed to win 10 points.

Taiwo Awoniyi, Union Berlin (Striker, 7.4m)
Awoniyi may not have scored in his last three games, which have seen Union face difficult opposition, but he had five goals in six league fixtures before that. This weekend's game against Augsburg, who have lost their last three games, is a great opportunity to get back on the scoresheet for the forward.

Nicolas Gonzalez, Stuttgart (Striker, 9.8m)
Gonzalez missed Stuttgart's game against Bielefeld in mid-week due to suspension, and he was missed dearly as Pellegrino Matarazzo's team feel to a disappointing 3-0 defeat. The striker has scored in his last two games and will be looking to continue his great form in the coming games against Freiburg and Mainz.
