Eintracht Frankfurt are prepared to offer board member Fredi Bobic a new, more lucrative contract, according to Bild.

Hertha BSC have reportedly lined up Bobic as a possible successor for Michael Preetz, who was relieved as his duties as the club's sporting managing director in January.

But Frankfurt are determined to keep hold of Bobic and are understood to be prepared to raise his €1.5 million-per-year salary by at least a third to fend off interest from the German capital club.

Bobic's contract with Frankfurt still runs until 2023.
