Frankfurt extend 11 game unbeaten streak

Frankfurt won at home against leaders Bayern with a 2-1 win that reflected in a huge haul of points for their attacking midfielders, even without their main man Andre Silva leading the line. Bayern allowed too much space for playmakers Amin Younes, MID (7.6M, 19) and Daichi Kamada, MID (14.1M, 19) and got punished as a result. Filip Kostic, MID (18.1M, 10) got an assist as well in this game. All these midfielders and the returning Andre Silva will be top options in Frankfurt’s next against Werder Bremen to kick off the matchday, especially considering Bremen’s 4-0 thrashing by Hoffenheim on Sunday.

Dortmund convincingly win the Revierderby

In what might be the last Revierderby for quite some time, Borussia Dortmund dispatched Schalke with an empathetic 4-0 thrashing which saw Erling Haaland, FOR (20.2M, 16) score a brace, and star player Jadon Sancho, MID (21.2M, 16) impressing as well. Following their win in the Champions League and in the league against Schalke, this is the perfect time for Dortmund to gain some momentum in next matchday’s fixture against Arminia Bielefeld at home, before they face leaders Bayern Munich. Mateu Morey, DEF (2M, 8) looks set to continue starting after a decent performance against Schalke, and could be a good budget option.

Gladbach woes continue

After recent news of head coach Marco Rose deciding to leave the club in summer, Borussia M’Gladbach have not been performing well in recent weeks, having not won in 4 games. Captain Lars Stindl, MID (15.7M, 14) could be the only player worth considering, playing high up almost as a second striker at times and appears to be first in line for penalties or direct free kicks. Jonas Hoffmann (13.6M, 8) did get an assist, but is looking unlikely to repeat the massive hauls of the past, playing primarily in a deeper role alongside Florian Neuhaus, MID (14M, 3) who appears to roam forward more.

Shocks of the matchday

Willi Orban, DEF (13.1M, 20) was one of the top scorers of the week, showing that he can be a good fantasy asset with his aerial threat.

With many Bayern players injured, Leroy Sane, MID (18.8M, 15) is showing some signs of a high ceiling after getting 15 points from an assist late in the game despite not really having a very impactful performance, and could be one to watch.
