Fantasy Bundesliga: Must-haves and differentials for Matchday 25

Ahead of Matchday 25, we have highlighted a must-have player (M) and a differential pick (D) from each game that you should consider for your Fantasy Bundesliga team.
FC Augsburg v. Borussia M’gladbach:

M: Florian Neuhaus, Midfielder (BMG, 14M, 4%) - For most of January and the beginning of February, Neuhaus was putting in strong performances and scoring multiple double digit Fantasy point games. He has cooled off in recent weeks but was able to get some shots off towards goal against Leverkusen last week for the first time since matchday 21. Friday night against Augsburg could spring him back into the fold as a top Fantasy player.

D: Florian Niederlechner, Forward (FCA, 10.7M, 1%) - In his last three games, Niederlechner has taken a respectable nine shots to go with his goal and assist. This is his best consecutive run of form all season.

VfL Wolfsburg v. FC Schalke 04:

M: John Anthony Brooks, Defender (WOB, 8.7M, 4%) - His normal neighbors of Lacroix and Otávio will miss this game due to suspension but it should not hinder Brooks’ ability to lead the backline. Although Wolfsburg’s clean sheet run ended last week, they should be able to get another one against lowly Schalke.

D: Admir Mehmedi, Midfielder (WOB, 6.7M, 1%) - With the suspensions and injuries that Wolfsburg are going through, Mehmedi could find himself in the starting lineup this weekend. A regular in the first half of the season, Mehmedi has two assists in six starts this year.

1. FC Union Berlin v. 1. FC Köln:

M: Christopher Trimmel. Defender (FCU, 10.9M, 5%) - Trimmel is always one of the most active players on the field, whether it be defense or on the attack. In his last three games, Trimmel has taken 25 crosses, eight corners and has five chances created. On the defensive side, he has 12 clearances and seven interceptions. He has averaged eight Fantasy points over those three games. A strong chance of a clean sheet bonus is on the table as well for this game.

D: Jonas Hector, Midfielder (KOE, 9.5M, 1%) - After missing the last five games, Hector came off the bench against Bremen and promptly got right back on the score sheet. One of their most consistent players in seasons past, the Billy Goats will be hoping that Hector can stay healthy for the rest of the season as they push to avoid relegation.

1. FSV Mainz 05 v. Sport-Club Freiburg:

M: Danny da Costa, Defender (M05, 8.8M, 3%) - Mainz have been on a pretty solid run of form in their last five games. They have pulled off two wins, two draws and only one loss to get them in serious touching distance of safety. They are playing the best of any team in the bottom six. Da Costa has been a revelation on the wing since joining and brings that extra dimension they had been missing.

D: Phillipp Mwene, Defender (M05, 1.9M, 0%) - Deployed opposite of da Costa, Mwene has found a new gear much like the other Mainz players recently. A new aspect of his game has also been put to light as he took a corner kick, four of them, for the first time all season last weekend. He has also sent in a solid 25 crosses in the last three games. All that is needed now is some more clinical finishing from his strikers.

SV Werder Bremen v. FC Bayern München:

M: Thomas Müller, Forward (FCB, 21.8M, 10%) - Müller has barely played a game and a half since missing three for Covid protocol. This weekend he should have his game fitness back to peak performance. The title is far from secure and Bremen have been playing better recently so Müller and Bayern can not take their foot off the gas.

D: Kingsley Coman, Forward (FCB, 15.7M, 4%) - Although Bremen have shown better of themselves in recent weeks, it is not wise to bet against Bayern. Coman has the fewest ownership of any of the Bayern starters.

Borussia Dortmund v. Hertha BSC:

M: Erling Haaland, Forward (BVB, 20.5M, 52%) - Picked for obvious reasons, Haaland is imposing his will on teams at the moment. He has scored or assisted in each of his last five league games.

D: Krzysztof Piątek, Forward (BSC, 10.9M, 1%) - In three games where he has started and played 90 minutes, Piątek has two goals on nine shots, all since January 16th. In his other 21 appearances this year, he has four goals on 25 shots. If he can start and play the full game, he is sure to bring a return.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v. DSC Arminia Bielefeld:

M: Wendell, Defender (B04, 7.9M, 2%) - Wendell has scored double digit Fantasy points in two of his last three games, with no goals or assists. The majority of his points are in Won Duels where he has earned 18 points alone in those three games. He has a great chance of the clean sheet bonus as well for this match.

D: Patrik Schick, Forward (B04, 15.5M, 0%) - Schick got back on the scoreboard last weekend for the first time in the league since February 13th. It has not been for a lack of effort, however, as he has seven shots and and four chances created in his last three games.

RB Leipzig v. Eintracht Frankfurt:

M: Christopher Nkunku, Midfielder (RBL, 16.9M, 8%) - The game of the week is sure to set off some fireworks. Nkunku has been playing lights out lately, scoring thrice and assisting twice in his last four league games. He has also scored over 15 Fantasy points in three of his last four.

D: Alexander Sørloth, Forward (RBL, 14.7M, 0%) - Sørloth has two goals and two assists in his last two league games, surely earning himself another start from Nagelsmann. Leipzig can not slip and drop any points if they want to keep pace with Bayern and Sørloth will have to play a major part.

VfB Stuttgart v. TSG Hoffenheim:

M: Christoph Baumgartner, Midfielder (TSG, 13.2M, 4%) - That's four games in a row with double digit Fantasy points for the newly signed Hoffenheim midfielder. Few players are playing better right now so ride him while he is hot.

D: Ihlas Bebou, Forward (TSG, 9.8M, 1%) - Bebou had a tough time against Wolfsburg’s stout defense, but most strikers do. In his previous three games before that he was very active in the final third. He had two goals on nine shots and an assist with four crosses attempted during that stretch.
