Freiburg tie Christian Günter down to new contract
Christian Günter has put pen to paper on a new contract with SC Freiburg.

As per usual, Freiburg have decided not to disclose the contents of the new contract.
"Christian is distinguished by will, social competence, an open approach and ability to perform. He has taken a step forward on the pitch year after year, always reaching a new, higher level," said Freiburg sporting director Klemens Hartenbach.
"Christian Günter is an incredibly important player and person for us. That's why we're really happy that he'll continue on the Freiburg road with us."
Günter, 28, has spent his entire career at Freiburg, making 284 appearances for the club with four goals and 33 assists to his name.
