Contract negotiations between RB Leipzig and Marcel Halstenberg are said to have hit a snag.

Halstenberg is currently under contract until 2022 and last extended his deal with the Bundesliga side in 2018.

According to Bild, RB Leipzig offered the left-back a contract renewal with the same salary, but this didn't go well with the Halstenberg camp, who turned down the proposal because they were expecting a salary raise.

Should the parties fail to come to an agreement, the 29-year-old could be on the move this summer.

Per Bild, he has received concrete inquiries from the Bundesliga as well as other European countries.
