Kimmich helped me learn German

Speaking ahead of RB Leipzig's clash with Bayern München, Yussuf Poulsen has spoken of his friendship with former teammate Joshua Kimmich.

Poulsen and Kimmich both joined RB Leipzig in 2013 and played together for two years before the latter moved on to Bayern München.
Speaking in an interview with the DFL Magazine ahead of RB Leipzig's Bundesliga clash with Kimmich and Bayern on Saturday, Poulsen has shared his memories of his former teammate.
"When I came to Leipzig, I couldn't really speak German," said Poulsen, who made the switch to Leipzig from Danish side Lyngby BK.
"But I learned it very quickly thanks to 'Jo' and his girlfriend, who was even stricter than he was when it came to German lessons," he added.
The 26-year-old Danish international is under contract with RB Leipzig until 2024 and says he's not currently thinking about extending his deal.
"At the moment, no. Life here is too exciting for that with all that is possible for RB Leipzig," said Poulsen.
