Bayern München coach Hansi Flick remains hopeful that Lucas Hernandez and Leon Goretzka will be fit in time for Tuesday's Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Hernandez and Goretzka missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with Union Berlin after sustaining injuries in Bayern's first-leg tie with PSG, which ended in a 2-3 defeat for the German champions.

Speaking after the Union draw, Flick provided a fresh update on the duo.

"I have more hope with Lucas Hernández - even if it's an injury that's more painful. With Leon, we can't take any risks because it's a muscular injury. There we just have to wait to see if the doctors give the green light," said Flick.

Jerome Boateng and Kingsley Coman are both doubtful as well after being forced off against Union.

"Jerome came off with some knee problems. Coman took a blow to the top of his fibula and had some issues. But I don't think it's anything too bad," said Flick.

Bayern will definitely be without Robert Lewandowski, Niklas Süle, Marc Roca, Serge Gnabry and the long-term injured Corentin Tolisso and Douglas Costa.
