Nagelsmann explains decision to take Angelino off at half-time

RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has explained why Angelino only played the first half against Hoffenheim.
Angelino made his long-awaited return from injury for RB Leipzig against Hoffenheim as the two sides drew 0-0 in the Bundesliga on Friday.

However, after failing to make the impact desired by Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann, the Spanish wing-back was taken off at half-time.

"We had hoped that he would bring more power to the pitch offensively," said Nagelsmann after the game, according to Kicker.

"But that wasn't the case. He wasn't involved much and played too much from a standing position."

In general, Nagelsmann wasn't satisfied with his side's performance.

"It definitely wasn't our best game. Even though we didn't create enough goalscoring chances, we were the more dominant side and were a bit unfortunate at the end with Yussuf Poulsen's header. We had some good moments and two or three good efforts that we didn't make the most of", said the RB Leipzig coach.

"Overall, there was a lack of aggressive runs into the area, above all away from the ball. Therefore, we didn't get the win in the end."
