Robert Lewandowski pledges loyalty to Bayern

Robert Lewandowski insists he is happy at Bayern München amid rumors he could leave.
Robert Lewandowski has pledged loyalty to Bayern München amid speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

"The truth is I have a contract at Bayern, and I'm very happy at this club. We are talking about one of the three or four best clubs in Europe and the world," said Lewandowski, whose contract expires in 2023, in an interview with Tuttosport.

"If you're playing for Bayern, you have to accept one thing: You have to win something every year. The expectations are very high, and you always have to be the best."

The fact that Julian Nagelsmann will come in to replace Hansi Flick as coach 'doesn't change anything' for the 32-year-old forward.

"I've scored goals under Flick, and I will do the same under the new coach to help the team. We are Bayern, so we will do our best to win all the trophies again with Nagelsmann."

Lewandowski has found the net 46 times in 38 appearances for Bayern this season.
